Management Team

G. Michael Porter
Principal

Michael Porter has been a general contractor for 20 years, with experience in all phases of residential and commercial construction. Mr. Porter is presently the majority partner in Woodbridge Custom Homes, an exclusive luxury home builder focused in north Scottsdale, Arizona. He oversees all aspects of constructing these high-end homes and has developed strong business relationships with investors in the residential market. These speculative homes range in value from $3.5 million to $8.2 million, and yield a ROI of 45% to 50% for investors. Mr. Porter began his career in college as a carpenter, and progressed from renovating historic Victorians to building custom homes. Mr. Porter has additionally participated in product development and holds two design patents from the United States Patent office. He graduated with a business degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Michael Roberts
Principal

Mike Roberts is also President and CEO of Charlevoix Homes, LLC. A successful entrepreneur in Arizona for over 25 years, he founded Charlevoix Homes, an Arizona-based residential builder, in 2002. As a licensed General Contractor in Arizona, holding both residential and commercial licenses, Mr. Roberts has, in addition, a background in corporate and business development.

Mr. Roberts’ home-building and land development career began with Desert Troon Properties in Prescott, Arizona. As part of Desert Troon’s famed Hassayampa project, Mr. Roberts and his business partner created Aspen Creek Meadows, a community of luxury homes along the renowned Tom Weisskopf Golf Course. He then founded Charlevoix Homes, named for a village in northern Michigan, creating a new standard of excellence in quality, affordable homes in the Phoenix area.

A winner of the coveted Chevron Platinum Pump Award for Leadership, Mr. Roberts owned and operated multiple Chevron and Texaco stations throughout the Valley. He also started and owned a chain of Video Power Stores in Phoenix, Tucson and Las Vegas, and was nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year by the Brown & Bain Distinguished Business Leader Program. He began his career at Chevrolet/General Motors and held positions in market development at Bell Atlantic.

Mike Roberts has a BA in history from Arizona State University. He is a licensed pilot with type-ratings on five Citation jets, and has logged time on a number of twin- and single-engine planes. An Arizona resident, Mike Roberts relocated from Michigan in 1981 and currently resides in Arizona with his wife Colleen, and 4 children, Hannah, Amanda, David, and Trevor.
